Billy Morgan has grabbed his first ever medal at the X-Games. He took the bronze in the Big Air finals in Oslo only moths after returning from a knee surgery. Here is his Bronze winning trick.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs2CXxUO9yE Things continue to look on the up for British riders competing on the snow, bring on the Winter Olympics!

If you’re in the 3 Valleys you should definitely get involved with this event. It will be running all through the season and is a great way to meet new people, try new things and even win awesome prizes from some of the best UK independent brands, including us! Put on by our friend Mat The Whale who runs a new distribution racket – Shapeshifters distribution, these events are all about FUN. It doesn’t matter what level you are at, weather your stomping quads or busting butt slides down boxes it’s just about getting involved and having a laugh. The first one went down the other day, here is the video if you want to check it out for yourself.[…]

We were happy to sponsor and help run an event called Girls Gone Rad. This was the second event put on for and by the girls and it all went down in Milton Keynes Snozone. With a quite similar philosophy and set up to She rides out in Meribel, the emphasis is to get girls into the park and build confidence through meeting new people and getting tips from some top instructors. It’s a jam format with prizes to be won from the sponsors. Categories like Best trick, Best bail and most improved kept the competitiveness flowing and made for a super enjoyable winters eve. Big shout out to all the girls who got involved and everyone who helped out. More[…]

We are stoked to have Ollie on our team, he is an amazing guy, super fun to be around and has style for miles on a board! We managed to get up the hill with him when we were out on our “Go a long way tour” for a couple of days and he is one of the smoothest riders we know. He has been out in Meribel this winter shredding the DC Area 43 park whenever possible, take a look at the sick edit he put together below.

We are giving away a free Bamboo Bay hemp hat, signed by some of the biggest names in snowboarding. Terje Haakonsen, Nicolas Muller, Eero Ettala, Stale Sandbech and Torstein Horgmo! Mayfair is one of the last places you’d expect to find a room of scruffy shred-peddlers, but the Curzon cinema opened its doors to a band of snowboarders, filmmakers and their eager fans for the premier of Oakley’s new film, Snowboarding for Me. After a brief wait in a lobby/Victorian gentleman’s club, the audience was ushered into the theatre and the show started. The intro from some of the stars, the director, head of music, and editor didn’t give much away (Nico Muller’s cells can stalefish), but was a great warmer for what turns out to be one of the best films of the year. Here’s why:   1. The film is beautiful. From a purely aesthetic point of view,[…]

We were lucky enough to be invited to the premier of Absinthe films new production, Heavy Mental last week in London. We went along and had a really good night, met some very interesting people and thought we should do a quick write up for you guys. We have been long time fans of the Absinthe Films of the past and were really excited to see what this new production had in store. Absinthe have been making great snowboard films for a long time now and some of the older ones like “Futureproof and Pop” were way ahead of their time and in some ways lead the way for snowboard films of the future. So that brings us nicely to[…]

Snowboarding means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, for some its all about going as big as possible, charging and competing at the highest level. Others prefer to just cruse around with friends or family, track the pistes, stop in for some poutine and a jug of beer at a sky high bar on the mountain, then go home with a goggle tan and a phone full of snowy selfies. There are many categories that fall between these lines but whichever you find yourself in it’s cool with us, as long as your having FUN. Because that’s what it’s all about, finishing that last run, getting to the bottom with a big fat grin stapled to[…]
