If you’re in the 3 Valleys you should definitely get involved with this event. It will be running all through the season and is a great way to meet new people, try new things and even win awesome prizes from some of the best UK independent brands, including us!
Put on by our friend Mat The Whale who runs a new distribution racket – Shapeshifters distribution, these events are all about FUN. It doesn’t matter what level you are at, weather your stomping quads or busting butt slides down boxes it’s just about getting involved and having a laugh.
The first one went down the other day, here is the video if you want to check it out for yourself. So don’t be shy, get up and ride.
This was the second event put on for and by the girls and it all went down in Milton Keynes Snozone.
With a quite similar philosophy and set up to She rides out in Meribel, the emphasis is to get girls into the park and build confidence through meeting new people and getting tips from some top instructors.
It’s a jam format with prizes to be won from the sponsors. Categories like Best trick, Best bail and most improved kept the competitiveness flowing and made for a super enjoyable winters eve. Big shout out to all the girls who got involved and everyone who helped out. More to come from this crew so keep your eyes pealed!

We will be doing a pop up stall at JB ski this Saturday in Chertsey. The event is for the UK stop of the European Wake surf tour. Come along and enjoy a day down the lake with lots of fun things to get involved in as well as Europe’s top wake surfer going at it throughout the day.
JB ski is also home to a full loop cable for wake boarding, kneeboarding, waterski and mono ski so you can have a go yourself!
This weekend we will be at Nass fest in Bath, doing a Bamboo Bay stall Friday – Sunday!
We have done Nass once before and we are stocked to be back. This is not your average festival, it’s all based around extreme sports and has some of the biggest names in the game there, like the bird-man – Tony Hawk!
As well as some top music names from the UK and world wide like Public Enemy.
One of our favourite things about the festival is that everyone is cruising around on skateboards and BMX and there are public skateparks and ramps set up for people to shred in-between bands and live shows.
Not to mention the bad ass pro skatepark they set up for the big boys to show you how it’s done. It’s a real spectacle and we will be right there amongst it. So if you’re there come and say hi and check out our bargains on offer.
If you’re still umm’ing and arrr’ing about it then take a look at the website with the full roster here.
This weekend (4,5th of July) we will be doing a pop up stall at the Paddle round the pier event in Brighton!
This will be our 3rd time at this special event in the place where Bamboo Bay started, Brighton.
Each year is more fun and jam packed than the last, with live music, pop up skate ramps and shows, lots of events that the public can enter, demos, amazing local and artisan food stalls, loads of other stalls with gadgets and gizmos for surfing to longboarding, as well as the main event where people use home made rafts to paddle out to sea and race around a corse!
The Bamboo Bay team elite, will be entering a “raft” and hopefully this time it won’t sink straight away and trap everyone who is on it upside down under water, wouldn’t that be nice…..
We will also have bargains galore at our stall so come, get involved with the fun. Oh yea and the best part…..It’s all FREE! Why wouldn’t you?
here is the link to their website, have a look for yourself.
The Bamboo Bay crew love a festival and we have done many stalls all over the place in recent years. From Cornwall to the south of France we have had a great time selling at festivals and have met some incredible people along the way.
However, there is one festival that stands out for us. It’s a home away from home and we get especially pumped for Secret Garden Party!
Our extended family “The Dance-Off crew” absolutely kill it there every year with their interactive stage which ensures people are raving and laughing from dusk till dawn. Last year we were lucky enough to do a collaboration with them and they kindly built in a Bamboo Bay shop into the actual stage! The theme was hillbillies and rednecks and we plummeted ourselves into it.
If you want to know more and see for yourselves what you’re missing out on then have a look at the video below.
We will be there again this year as well as other festivals all over the UK and France. So keep an eye on our blog to find out dates and places.
